Happy Monday! I am still just flying from our Zoom call on Sunday! We definitely need to do more of those. And hey, I’m actually getting this post out this week ON MONDAY. Not Monday morning, but at least it’s the right day? I’m getting there.
Here is where you get to ask me anything from “how can I join the next Zoom discussion?” to “What’s President’s Day?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of questions!
Now, question for you! Similar to my question last week for Lincoln’s birthday. Who is your favorite historical national leader?
I’m sticking with Lincoln! He was flawed as a human, as we all are, but what I really like about him as a leader is that he actually LEAD. That is, he pushed everyone to follow him just that one step further to a better world. He didn’t run far far ahead where no one else could catch up, and he didn’t lead from behind just going with the popular opinions, he had faith that everyone could move forward just that one little bit more. Does that make sense? He respected the people he was leading, even when he disagreed with them, and tried to meet them where they were and bring them with him.
