This is my first DCIB Zoom movie discussion, but I ended up attending and leading a whole bunch of them during the pandemic so I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t.
First most important rule, show up on time! Or at least try to show up on time (I know life happens). Zoom discussions are tricky to get flowing and set up and having folks pop in 20 minutes late breaks the flow.
Second rule, plan on an hour! Zoom calls are draaaaaaaaaaaining, especially with a group. More than an hour is too much for some folks. Not saying we can’t talk longer, but all focused stuff we can do in the first hour for people who just run out of steam after that.
Third rule, no public zoom links! Zoom bombing is icky and I don’t like it and the best way to prevent it is to say “you have to email me direct and I decide if you get the link”
