I am very confused by this whole thing. Which is the point, I am confused yet intrigued and curious and eager to watch the film and figure it out. Good job Trailer!
So we’ve got sweet as sugar Vijay Sethupathi playing an evil arms dealer, SRK playing a Noble cop (army officer?), and then an older/bald SRK taking a train hostage. Plus Deepika is in there, and I think I recognize Nayanthara as a female cop, officer SRK refuses to work with Vijay Sethupathi, and then bald/care worn SRK says something about avenging his son?
What with the mustaches, there might also be a flashback? In which case I’m thinking it might be like Mersal (another recent Atlee film) where the father and son have the same enemy, in flashback and present. But while in Mersal the son avenged the father, perhaps it is opposite here? Peaceful retired army officer Dad comes back after his son is attacked?
But the real moment of the trailer, the shivers down your spine moment, is when he says not to come for his son. That must have been so satisfying for SRK. In real life, he had to be a Reality Hero and give measured statements and hire lawyers and play the long game. But in the movie, he can just beat up anyone who comes for his child.
