What The Dragon Prince Images Reveal About Season 5
The Dragon Prince‘s latest season 5 images promise a long and tense trek ahead. Season 4 concluded with Viren, his powerful mage daughter Claudia, and her Earthblood Elf boyfriend Terry successfully locating the map to Aaravos’ prison. With Rayla learning her parents were not killed but trapped within magical coins, the images tease the elf’s fierce determination. She appears to lead the group on the next leg of their journey, crossing paths with Ezran and Callum’s aunt, General Amaya.
Viren’s path to Aaravos does not appear any easier. With only 30 days to find the Startouch Elf to finalize his resurrection, the voyage appears to take its toll on Viren; one image sees Claudia and Terry carrying the man through rain-soaked terrain. His psyche may be affected as well, with another image featuring Viren falling in a dark abyss, likely within the depths of his tortured mind. Although Terry questioned Claudia’s actions toward Rayla at the end of The Dragon Prince season 4, the couple appear to be doing well as they rest beside the fire in each other’s arms.
Dubbed Book 5: Ocean, The Dragon Prince previously teased an arduous journey across the water with the help of Nyx, an unscrupulous elf who last appeared in season 3. A recent Dragon Prince poster featured the heroes’ ship facing a massive wave with a partially hidden dragon lurking beneath. With The Dragon Prince season 5 premiering in two months, audiences do not have to wait much longer to see whether Rayla can free her parents while stopping Viren from reaching Aaravos.
