Learning how to control wind is the puzzle of Kisinona Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, challenging players to use fans and Link’s Ultrahand ability to unlock a special reward. This Shrine can be deceptive, as it seems easy to figure out at first. However, players must be careful when attaching objects together here since even the slightest mistake won’t reveal the path forward.
Players can find Kisinona Shrine deep within Eldin Canyon, on one of the higher ledges in the rocky formations around the area. Settled right between both Cephla Lake and Lake Ferona, the exact coordinates of the Shrine are (2566, 1245, 0173). The canyons of Eldin are far northeast of Central Hyrule, giving players another reason to explore Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s massive map.
Wind Power (Kisinona) Shrine Solution
The obvious mechanism players will notice in the first room of the Shrine is a giant circular wheel surrounded by seven wind vanes, machines that must all be spinning at the same time to open the gate ahead. To do this, players must use Link’s new Ultrahand ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to grab two Zonai fans sitting to their right. These contraptions create an airflow when hit with a melee weapon, which will be important later.
There are four rectangular parts to the wheel that players should attach to the fans, ensuring the fan part that produces the airflow is facing outward. However, each fan must be placed directly opposite the other to activate the wind vanes at equal times. Simply using Ultrahand in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to spin the wheel after the fans have been activated lets players spin the vanes quickly.
Activating every wind vane at once with the two fans on the larger wheel opens the gate at the end of the room, solving the puzzle of Kisinona Shrine.
The vanes activate with a small green light showing on the top but stop after a short time if the wind does not move the vane’s panels. By moving the wheel fast, players have a chance to activate every vane at once, which opens the gate to solving the Shrine puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Rewards For Solving Kisinona Shrine
A larger platform to the left of the room actually hosts a chest players may reach by placing one of the two fans facing the ceiling, then activating it and jumping into the airflow with the paraglider. The Mighty Construct Bow weapon lies in this chest, which deals a lot of damage and is durable.
The greatest reward from Kisinona Shrine, however, is a unique item called the Light of Blessing, which can be exchanged at a Goddess Statue in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for a stamina or health upgrade for Link.
