Players will have to find Toto Lake as part of the main quest in Zora’s Domain in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, it is not immediately clear how to find Toto Lake. Finding this lake will allow Link to find out what information he needs to know to help the Zora get rid of the sludge.
Toto Lake will be the next item on the list after he regains the Zora Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. At this point, Link should have already talked to Sidon and his new fiance and will be redirected to find Toto Lake to talk to a historian investigating the ruins. Without reaching Toto Lake, it is impossible to progress the quest further.
How To Reach Toto Lake In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
There are two possibilities for finding Toto Lake from Zora’s Domain. While it is also possible to glide down from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in Zelda: TotK using the paraglider, it is simpler to get there from Zora’s Domain, where players likely already are starting the quest. Both methods of getting there are also closer than the tower to the lake.
The first possibility is to go from the top floor of Zora’s Domain in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Make sure to equip the Zora Armor. Then glide over to the large waterfall. This waterfall goes up the cliff behind Zora’s Domain, but not the one going up Ploymus Mountain. That one should be to Link’s right. Swim up the waterfalls and continue swimming up. Following the waterfall path should lead Link directly to Toto Lake with little to no interruptions.
Swimming upward with the Zora Armor does not consume Stamina.
The second possibility is to fast travel to the Ihen-a Shrine near Mipha’s Grove on top of Ploymus Mountain. Open the map and look for the smaller lake between Zora’s Domain and the Akkala region. It will be slightly to the Northeast of Ploymus Mountain. Walk to the edge of the mountain, behind the shrine, and jump off the mountain. Glide toward the top of the neighboring hill, and Link should be able to land directly on Toto Lake.
Once he has arrived, Link can talk to the historian and solve the puzzle. This will allow him to advance the Zora Domain quest line. This will eventually lead to the Water Temple in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom which will give Link an extra Heart Container, New Abilities, and more.
