What To Expect From The Succession Series Finale
The Succession series finale will serve as the culmination of the Waystar-GoJo sale saga that has dominated the final season. As the future of the family company hangs in the balance, it’s difficult to feel confident about who will come out on top when it’s all said and done. Each Roy sibling has been the front-runner at some point this season, but don’t be surprised if all three end up on the outside looking in. After all, Logan’s final words to them were they’re not “serious people,” and Matsson was who he handpicked to lead the company.
The Succession series finale runtime is 90 minutes, as confirmed by composer Nicholas Britell, ensuring the show will have plenty of time to carefully conclude each storyline, though the finale’s focus will be the final board vote on the Waystar-GoJo deal. There is a shot in the preview of Matsson looking furious, suggesting the deal may blow up in his face. A show’s legacy, such as Game of Thrones, is often decided by the quality of its series finale, so despite all the groundwork laid by Succession thus far, a lot is riding on its final episode next week.
