90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Gabriel Paboga’s business is doing “very well” since he started his journey on the franchise with Isabel Posada. Gabe is the franchise’s first transgender man, and has educated viewers about his transition on the show, from how he got his surgery done to details of his intimate life with Isabel. Gabe and Isabel’s storyline has been nothing but wholesome, and they have confirmed they’re still together and happily married in the Tell-All.
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All was also an opportunity for Gabe to discuss his business and his struggles before and after getting his bottom surgery. In fact, Gabe had thought about launching his company due to an uncomfortable swimming incident. One day, before Gabe’s transformation surgery, he was in the swimming pool and realized the sock he was using as a packer had escaped his shorts and was swimming the other way. Because of this, Gabe makes his products by hand and is helping his clients become much more confident.
What Is Gabe Paboga’s Business?
Gabe runs his business called GMPwear for a living. On Instagram, he describes it as, “Pre-Pack FTM underwear, no more uncomfortable packers, harnesses, or falling out.” Gabe specifies that it’s the “only affordable and only underwear” to come already packed. The underwear is made explicitly for transgender men. Gabe wants his customers to feel comfortable going to a store or a night out. “No more horror stories about your packer falling out of your pants at the most inconvenient of times,” Gabe wrote on his GMPwear website.
How 90 Day Fiancé Made Gabe’s Unique Business A Success
Gabe’s first-ever scene on 90 Day Fiancé was about him making penis molds out of expensive foam for his underwear. He had traveled to Colombia to look for a manufacturer for the actual underwear since he only makes the molds, and that’s also when he met Isabel at a mutual friend’s house. Gabe planned on relocating his business to Colombia after he got married to Isabel. During the Tell-All, host Shaun Robinson asked Gabe if the “bulge business” was up and running in Colombia.
“It’s going very well,” Gabe admitted, saying he has a lot more customers “that are men” now. They message Gabe about whether they can wear the underwear if they already have a penis. The inquiries seem to have started coming in after Gabe promoted his company on the show. Even on Gabe’s Instagram for GMPwear, there are comments from potential clients asking him about the size chart and product descriptions, or even telling Gabe the clothes are “My favorite thing to wear. I can’t tell I’m wearing them.”
How Isabel Is Helping Run Gabe’s GMPWear Business
Isabel used to work at a law firm in a clerical job before Gabe entered her life. Just a few months after meeting Gabe, she started working with him. “I started helping him with little things in his company,” Isabel said during a confessional. She had resigned from her job by then. “I definitely like to be in control, and ever since Isabel’s been working with me, I feel like I’m an assistant,” Gabe said, while confessing that he feels like he’s working for Isabel. But Isabel helps Gabe by doing the metric conversion for his fabric or translating from Spanish to English.
In a previous episode, Gabe confessed, “I would not be able to run my business without her.” Shaun tried to understand from Isabel whether she still works as an employee at Gabe’s company or if they have a 50/50 partnership. But Gabe agreed with his 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cast members saying, “She’s the boss.” Isabel shared that at this point, “It’s like a partnership.” She believes that if she and Gabe weren’t doing their part, GMPwear wouldn’t have become what it is today.
