Teresa Giudice shared that filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been difficult for her marriage. Teresa married Luis Ruelas in 2022, with their wedding special coming out on Bravo next week. The couple have been together through thick and thin, enjoying being in love, while also dealing with some family drama that has been aired out on RHONJ.
In an Us Weekly interview, Teresa opened up about the fact that doing the show has been cause for strain in their relationship. “The only hard thing has been the show, unfortunately.” Otherwise, though, she said that she thinks their marriage has “been great.” With Luis only coming into the spotlight after getting with Teresa, going from just being a businessman to a figure of interest would have no doubt been difficult. “This is not what he’s used to. The poor guy, he didn’t meet a regular, random girl,” she said, acknowledging her fame and her role as a public figure.
Luis Feels Extremely Happy With Their Marriage So Far
While Teresa also recognized that it has probably been “challenging” for Luis, he only had great things to say about their relationship. He acknowledged that “it’s a different kind of environment.” However, he was steadfast to add, “Real life, for us, has been amazing.” The couple went on to chronicle how their day-to-day is being together, celebrating birthdays, cooking dinners, and doing mundane things like the dishes. They both seem very smitten and happy together, despite all the drama and pressures of the outside world. With regular RHONJ drama and personal, family feuds they share with Teresa’s brother and sister-in-law, it is understandable that the show takes a toll on them.
Since Teresa and Luis have been publicly feuding with Melissa and Joe Gorga, this would make life difficult on and off-screen due to the fact that they are family. However, it is refreshing to see that the couple does not seem to let it be bringing them down. While it just makes sense that filming a reality TV show like RHONJ can be strenuous, it makes even more sense that Teresa and Luis would be more impacted by the feuding that is constantly happening day-to-day with their own family.
While many tune into The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the drama and cattiness that takes place, there should be a space reserved for some peace and happiness for the cast. It would be emotionally draining to have to show up to work with cameras all around and hash out an argument that has been going on for so long. Hopefully, Teresa and Luis are able to continue to find joy in their day-to-day lives that makes everything worth it for them, and they can continue to be happy together into the future.
