Vanderpump Rules season 10’s epic finale featured an incredible moment between Ariana Madix and Kristen Doute, who are both ex-girlfriends of Tom Sandoval. After Tom’s affair with Raquel Leviss blew up his life and relationship with Ariana, things were critical for the Vanderpump Rules star for several days. With her friends coming over to check on her and support her as she went through a very messy public breakup, Kristen made her return to Vanderpump Rules after getting fired post-season 8. While Kristen’s history with the series is riddled with controversy, her desire to support Ariana through something she thoroughly understood was authentic and sweet.
Throughout the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale, various details about Tom’s affair with Raquel came to light. From the fact that Tom was feeling an incredibly deep emotional connection with Raquel, to the thought that he may be having a mid-life crisis after turning 40 and deciding to sleep with his girlfriend’s very close friend, information was flying throughout the entire episode. During Ariana’s time one-on-one with Kristen, things felt a bit calmer in a way that was helpful for Ariana. The two spoke candidly about their past, which includes some drama stemming from Kristen and Tom’s relationship, and decided to look forward toward the future together.
Tom Cheated On Kristen With Ariana
Early on in the run of Vanderpump Rules, Tom and Kristen were a long-standing couple, having been together for years before the series began. Throughout Vanderpump Rules season 2, Kristen was struggling to deal with the fact that Tom had cheated on her and told her about it, especially because he had a close friendship with Ariana. Kristen had heard that he’d slept with Ariana, but the two denied the accusations throughout the season, eventually admitting they’d kissed years prior. Tom and Kristen broke up, and he showed up to the Vanderpump Rules season 2 reunion already dating Ariana. After time passed, Kristen and Ariana became close friends.
Kristen And Ariana Have An Emotional Bond
When things started crumbling for Tom and Ariana, Kristen heard about the incredibly familiar warning signs. Allowing Kristen, who Tom had manipulated and hurt in the same ways, to be a huge part of Ariana’s healing process in the episode was incredible to see. Watching the women bond over some incredibly difficult shared experiences and get to a place where they were laughing and able to be a bit less serious was smile-inducing. Kristen, who brought an array of crystals along with her, led Ariana in some manifestation practices, and the two burned away the bad memories of Tom, ushering in a new age for the both of them.
With Kristen back on Vanderpump Rules for the finale, things felt lighter and more dynamic immediately. Though she has yet to express interest in returning for more of the series, the possibility she could be back for Vanderpump Rules season 11 seems interesting. As Ariana continues to heal from the pain she’s been caused, it must be calming knowing she has Kristen to support her in her corner.
