Completing the early-game section of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom means beating the Great Sky Island and its four Shrines, with the last one being the Nachoyah Shrine, or Temple of Time. The Temple of Time is a mainstay of the Zelda franchise, having appeared in previous titles including Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild, and more.
To progress with the storyline of Tears of the Kingdom, Link must unlock new powers and abilities, including Ascend, Ultrahand, and Fuse. These three skills are taught during the Great Sky Island section of the game, giving players a taste of how to use these talents to beat other Shrines found later on. To beat the Nachoyah Shrine, you’ll need to use the final ability unlocked in this area: Recall.
How To Solve The Nachoyah Shrine (Temple Of Time)
You can identify Tears of the Kingdom‘s Temple of Time thanks to its elaborate staircase in the water. Once you get to the top of the temple, you will need to interact with the massive door. When you interact with the door, you will also complete the main quest, “The Closed Door.” Once inside, interact with the glowing artifact, which will trigger a short cutscene. Link has now learned the Recall ability, which will be the focus of the Gutanbac Shrine.
After the cutscene ends, you will see a pair of giant gears moving a mechanism. Use the Recall ability on one of the gears and jump onto one of the platforms. Walk onto the next platform until you see another mechanism with platforms moving downwards. As soon as this platform is at a lower level than Link, use the Recall ability to make it move in the opposite direction. Finally, jump onto the platform to progress to the next room with a statue that looks like an angel.
Interact with the statue, and you will soon notice that nothing happens. Behind the statue is a massive door that Link can attempt to push. You will quickly realize that Link does not have enough hearts to open this door and will need to acquire more vitality, similar to unlocking the Master Sword in Zelda: BOTW.
Once you’ve reached this point, you must head out to the open world to increase your vitality so that you can unlock this massive door later on in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
