Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Witney Carson welcomed her second son with husband Carson McAllister. Witney and Carson tied the knot in 2016. Four years later, the couple welcomed their first son together, Kevin Leo McAllister. In November, Witney shared that she was pregnant before later revealing they’d soon be growing their family with another son.
On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Witney shared updates on her Instagram Story as she began to feel some contractions. Earlier in the day, she and Carson were prepping for their upcoming move from Utah to Florida.
In the early evening, Witney began experiencing some contractions; however, she was not sure if it was the real deal or not. Then when the contractions began to be around five minutes apart, she and Carson headed to the hospital. Just six hours later, Witney revealed her baby boy had arrived. A few weeks prior, Witney was in the hospital due to being in early labor; however, doctors were ultimately able to stop her labor.

Not long after Witney shared that her baby boy was born, she gave fans yet another update on her Instagram Stories. Her baby boy was quickly taken into the intensive care unit following his birth. Witney briefly explained that he was “breathing a little fast” and, therefore, needed to be monitored; however, she did confirm that he was “getting 100% oxygen and doing great.” Around 2 a.m., Witney wrote, “It’s actually killing me not being able to hold him right now.” Then, finally, at 4:15 a.m., her newborn was back in her arms despite still being closely monitored. Hours later, Witney assured fans that her baby boy was “doing great.”
Witney found out she was pregnant at the very start of Dancing With The Stars season 31. Witney was partnered with Wayne Brady that year. Although she did not announce her pregnancy until the end of the season, Witney continued to compete while being pregnant. After sharing the news during a live episode, both she and Wayne assured fans that they were being cautious with the tricks they implemented in their dances to assure the safety of both Witney and her baby. The dancing duo made it to finale night before ultimately coming in third place.
In her most recent post, Witney said that she will soon share more details of her labor and delivery with fans. As of this writing, she has yet to reveal the name of her second son or share a photo showing his face. The Dancing With The Stars family keeps on growing as more and more professional dancers welcome little dancers of their own into the world. Congratulations to Witney and her family.
