Every Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gives players an opportunity to increase Link’s health or stamina, with Ishodag Shrine being one of many to offer this reward. These structures test players on their mastery of Link’s abilities by presenting puzzles that block their way forward. Players are tasked with clever problem-solving related to a specific theme in each Shrine, with Ishodag’s being related to objects that create wind.
Ishodag Shrine can be found west of Lookout Landing Skyview Tower, at the top of a rocky hill near the Castle Town Ruins of Central Hyrule. The Shrine sits pretty far up this hill, so players may not be able to climb here until their stamina has been upgraded a bit already. Perhaps visiting some other Shrines that are easier to access might grant players the Light of Blessings they need to increase their stamina to reach Ishodag.
A Windy Device Shrine Guide
The challenge at Ishodag Shrine, called A Windy Device, revolves around fans that players find scattered around. In the first room, players are able to find a fan far under a ledge they must reach that Link can manipulate the position of using Ultrahand. Placing the fan so that the blades face up allows players to strike the fan and cause the blades to spin, creating an airflow going upward.
Once players create an airflow, they must jump into the air and pull out their paraglider so that the wind takes them up to the ledge. From here, they will find a large body of water that needs to be crossed with another fan and a wooden platform lying around close by. From here, players should use Ultrahand to place the platform in the water, then attach the fan to the platform so that the airflow will push them across the water.
On the opposite side of the water, players might spot a chest on a platform currently facing toward the ground, with two fans lying nearby. In order to get the chest, players could attach one of these fans to the left side of the platform, with the airway created facing the wall to the left. Doing this will cause the platform to be pushed up to lay on a ledge when the airflow is made, letting players set up the second fan to reach the chest, which contains an Opal.
The final part of this puzzle is quite simple, with a basket that Link must move up to a much higher platform. Players need to set two fans under the basket to activate two airflows at the same time, thus sending the basket to the top. Using one of the new abilities seen in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Ascend, players are able to warp up under the basket and walk from there to the end of the Shrine.
Rewards from Solving Ishodag Shrine
One of the most sought-after rewards in the game, a Light of Blessing, is gifted to the player for beating the challenges of this Shrine. Collecting 4 Light of Blessings gives players a chance to buff either their health or stamina, making Ishodag Shrine one of many that players are recommended to visit while exploring in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
