The mysterious Dan Heng is a 4-Star rarity character everyone has access to at the beginning of the Honkai: Star Rail storyline. He specializes in single-target DPS with The Hunt class as his way of fighting. He is also of the Wind Element making him very useful for enemies with this elemental weakness. If you are considering using him as your main DPS on your team, stock up on the items necessary for Ascension.
According to Pryden.gg which reports on many Gacha games, he is rated on a DPS simulation as 2nd right under Seele for single-target damage. Unlike Seele however, he does not have any skills to help him do more damage with extra turns. Alternatively, Dan Heng’s buffs to himself include Avoidability, Speed, and Attack. As a late-game addition, he can also Slow Down enemies once he has consistent Critical Hits or his Eidolons reach Level 6.
You can get Dan Heng’s Eidolons not only by pulling him from the Standard Warp Banner but also by collecting Undying Starlight through the current Event Warp Banners.

Much like Sushang and Seele which are other Hunt characters, Dan Heng has high Attack and Speed stats. His skills are focused on buffing himself enough to land massive hits alongside his hindrances to enemies that help your entire team.
If players are looking at having him be the main DPS for their team, consider pairing him with Asta character builds because her Ultimate gives a Speed buff while her passive Talent gives him extra Attack. As a replacement for Asta, Tingyun character builds support Dan Heng with her Ultimate ability granting teammates 50 Energy and an increase in their damage.

Farming Ascension materials for Dan Heng in Honkai: Star Rail is very easy. Since Dan Heng is of the Wind Element, he will need Storm Eye specifically for Leveling Up. Repeatedly rematch the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Gust on Jarilo IV to receive Storm Eyes.
Bring a team of Imaginary, Fire, or Ice characters to make the battle go faster as these are what Stormbringers in Honkai: Star Rail are weak. Higher difficulty settings for this battle will give you higher rewards. For Extinguished to Squirming Cores, fight enemies on Jarilo IV, send characters on Assignments, or participate in Herta’s Simulated Universe.

Chaos ensues as among them is the god of destruction known as Aeon, who steals a seed known as a Stellaron, which they implant in an artificial human known as the “Trailblazer.” Players will assume the role of this character as they try to avoid their fate and save all of civilization. Similar to gacha-style games, players can acquire more characters to add to their party by summoning and engaging in fast-paced turn-based battles in this epic Sci-fi online RPG.
