The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga admitted to being uncertain about her appearance in subsequent seasons of the Bravo series. The feud between Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas has gone on for ages, with all parties involved stoking the flames over the last 13 seasons. Although this feud has provided some of the most dramatic viewer experiences on RHONJ, there’s clearly a limit of how much everyone can take. During the RHONJ season 13 reunion, which was recently filmed, host Andy Cohen blew up at Teresa and her sister-in-law over their bickering. Shortly after, rumors of Bravo’s intention to fire Melissa began circulating.
In an interview with the U.S Sun at the 3rd Annual Rescue Ball hosted by New York City Second Chance Rescue, The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Melissa Gorga weighed in on the ongoing rumors about her future. “I do not know what Bravo’s going to decide,” she divulged. “I have no idea.” Asked if her sister-in-law Teresa has the power to convince producers to axe her from the show, the TV personality replied in the negative, dismissing the claims as merely a rumor started by “Tre Huggers.” She quipped, “I mean, I think that the Tre started the rumor and people went with it, which is crazy to me.”
Teresa Giudice & Gorgas’ Drama Makes For Brutal RHONJ Season 13
Andy previously appeared to hint at Melissa’s ousting from RHONJ during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live. However, Joe Gorga, who was in the audience at the time, made it clear they were far from done. During the episode, Melissa and Joe discussed their prevailing feud with Teresa, and how deep it ran. While the drama supposedly geared up following allegations that Melissa cheated on her husband (Teresa’s brother) Joe, things reached new heights amid chaotic preparations for Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas. Teresa and Luis tied the knot in August 2022, and the deafening absence of the Gorgas at the wedding did not go unnoticed.
There was hope that RHONJ season 13 would offer an explanation for the wedding drama, but the season has only given the trio more reasons to get at each other’s throats. From Teresa’s failure to ask Melissa to be her bridesmaid at her wedding to the Pizza Gate drama between Luis and Joe, which dug deep into Teresa’s finances, their relationship has been anything but amicable. The Gorgas’ open criticism of Luis has done little to help the situation; while Teresa is keen on defending her man and seeing all the good in him, Joe appears to be convinced he has ill intentions towards his sister.
Surely, two men ruffling feathers is not unheard of. But when it fuels the already ongoing beef between sisters-in-law Teresa and Melissa, its repercussions might not be so negligible. Then there’s the claim that Luis was somehow manipulating his bride and causing her relationship with Joe to become strained. But neither Teresa nor her daughters seem to think so, making it more challenging to pick sides in the feud between the Gorgas and Teresa. With both parties being protagonists and villains in their own rights, cutting ties with one in favor of the other may not be such a great idea after all on Bravo’s part.
