Holly Hager has changed a lot since appearing on My 600-lb Life season 7, and most of it has been for the better. The Georgia native was 38 years old when she joined the cast in 2019. At the time, the My 600-lb Life star stood over 658 pounds and suffered from major health problems due to her morbid obesity. Holly began putting on weight at a young age due to PTSD, which resulted in her gaining 600 pounds by the time she was 30. When Molly realized the severity of her condition, she immediately made major changes in her life and underwent surgery to lose weight.
In her early 30s, Holly reached 319 pounds after getting her “stomach stapled.” Unfortunately, her problematic past and food addiction pulled her back, leading her to regain the pounds. By the time Molly was in her late 30s, she was once again fighting with extreme obesity. However, this time she sought help from Dr. Younan Nowzaradan and appeared on My 600-lb Life season 7 to improve her life. Throughout Holly’s 12-month journey on the show, she tried to follow Dr. Now’s diet plan hoping to qualify for the weight loss surgery.
My 600-Lb Life’s Holly Hager Did Lose Weight
Holly’s relationship with food stopped her from achieving great results. At the 5-month mark, the 38-year-old woman had only dropped 47 pounds and felt discouraged due to her slow progress. However, Dr. Now motivated her, and she was able to drop another 47 pounds by the seventh month. The 90-pound weight loss was enough for Holly to be cleared for surgery, which further helped her lose 240 pounds by the end of 12 months. While it’s unclear if Holly lost any more weight after My 600-lb Life, her latest pictures from October 2022 show her looking healthier than she was on the show.
My 600-Lb Life’s Holly Hager Is An Activist
Holly’s long-running battle with PTSD resulted from her past sexual abuse, which hampered her life for a long time. However, the Georgia woman overcame that and regained control of her life as a survivor. When Holly joined Dr. Now’s program on the show, she also became a member of an organization named Defined With Purpose. The nonprofit organization aims to help aid broken-hearted individuals who have faced painful experiences. According to Heavy, the TLC star joined Defined With Purpose as an intern and assisted the organization by helping them run weekly group meetings.
Holly maintains a low profile on social media and doesn’t appear to be sharing her personal details. However, some of her newest photos suggest she married the man of her dreams in October 2022. The TLC star now goes by Holly Conner, and seems happy and upbeat. Some comments indicate that she enjoys her new life and works hard daily. Holly even talked about her new husband, Keith Ray, in her recent posts. She spoke about how hardworking he is and revealed that he works “12 hour” night shifts at his job. Holly’s wedding day photo from late 2022 suggests that she maintained her weight after My 600-lb Life season 7.
