Vanderpump Rules alum Dayna Kathan’s been absent from the series since season 8, but she’s been keeping up with the cast during her off time. With many of its original cast members settling down into long-term relationships, and moving on from their SUR careers, VPR introduced several new cast members at the beginning of season 8. The newcomers all worked at the eatery, which ensured that the drama was still centered on the restaurant. The newbies connected with existing cast members in a variety of ways. Among those new SURvers was Dayna, who made a deeper connection with certain cast mates.
An aspiring stand-up comedian, Dayna had a knack for delivering great one-liners during her time on the show. Most of her plot line revolved around the other new cast members, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. Throughout the season, she was involved in a bit of a love triangle with them. Dayna’s romantic life was the focal point of her story, but she was making friends with the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast while the cameras rolled. After season 8, several original cast members, including Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, were let go, along with Max and Brett. Dayna announced that she wouldn’t be returning to the series either.
Dayna’s Still Friends With Some Vanderpump Rules Alums
She met the cast during some of their most difficult moments, and Dayna’s stayed close to some season 8 costars. According to Us Weekly, Dayna traveled to the UK with Something About Her owners Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney. They went there to attend the wedding of their friend, Courtney Berman. The latter woman’s a photographer who’s taken some of the group’s most iconic photos. Dayna seems to be very friendly with plenty of former co-stars, and at least cordial with others, such as Jax, who has previously commented on her Instagram posts. However, she posts most often with Katie, whom she seems to have the closest bond with.
What Vanderpump Rules Celeb Dayna’s Doing In 2023
Since her time on Vanderpump Rules, Dayna appears to have been living life to the fullest. Aside from her recent trip to the UK with Ariana and Katie, Dayna seems to have traveled around a bit over the past few years, according to her Instagram. In 2023, Dayna’s philosophy is possibly about putting fun first, as she’s spent most of her time exploring and attending festivals, such as Coachella. She’s clearly enjoying life, and making fashion statements while she lives it up.
Though some VPR stars definitely bring fireworks to the series, others are there to support the rest of the cast, and show off their friendships. While Dayna was involved in some onscreen drama, which was linked with her love life, her time on Vanderpump Rules brought her something even more empowering: meaningful friendships. Watching her branch out online, with her friends in tow, is a great consolation for those who miss seeing her on TV.
