Reacher and The Wheel of Time will be available to stream for free soon. In 2019, Amazon launched a free streaming service called IMDb Freedive, which was renamed IMDb TV a few months later. In 2022, the service was rebranded to Amazon Freevee, where viewers could stream free content, including Prime Video originals and other films and television series, supported by ads. The streaming service is available in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Via Collider, it has been revealed that Amazon plans to release Prime Video originals each month on Freevee moving forward. More than 100 Prime Video originals will be available to stream soon. The first seasons of Reacher and The Wheel of Time will be available for free on the streaming service later this year. This month, the first three episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty, A League of Their Own, The Terminal List, and Paper Girls will be available for free. Of course, all content on Prime Video will still be available to stream without ads, which requires a subscription.

When Amazon rebranded IMDb TV as Freevee, it incorporated Prime Video Originals into the streaming service to be available to watch. Seasons of Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, Bosch, Modern Love, and Mozart in the Jungle are available for free, with over fifty Prime Video originals currently available to stream. Amazon Original Films are also free to stream, including the critical hit Late Night, starring Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling.
Freevee also offers a number of original programs, including Bosch: Legacy, High School, Sprung, and the recently-premiered Jury Duty, starring Sonic the Hedgehog’s James Marsden. Whilst Jury Duty received mixed critical reviews, it has been a hit among audiences, who have called it one of the funniest sitcoms of the year. More original programs are slated to premiere on the streaming service, including Primo, Beyond Black Beauty, and an upcoming reboot of the 1999 cult classic Cruel Intentions.
As ad-supported options are becoming more common among streamers, Amazon is making a major push for its Freevee option. Adding shows that already have dedicated followings and good reviews will likely bolster the service. Viewers who aren’t subscribed to Prime Video will be able to watch full seasons of Reacher and The Wheel of Time along with other shows for free later this year.
