Controversial 90 Day Fiancé couple Tiffany Franco and Ronald Smith have been on a roller coaster ride since they were introduced to TLC viewers in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1. Tiffany was in South Africa when she first met Ronald. The couple fell in love and got engaged, with Ronald telling Tiffany about his criminal past before marriage. Tiffany went to South Africa with her son Daniel from a previous relationship, and despite Ronald’s gambling addiction, she gave him a chance.
After nine months of marriage, Ronald and Tiffany welcomed their baby daughter, Carley. Since Tiffany was in the U.S., Ronald watched his daughter’s birth via video chat. They returned to the franchise on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, which showed Tiffany and Ronald’s marriage going downhill. While Ronald was accepted for a CR-1 spousal visa, he acted disinterested in the video, making it look like he wanted the visa denied. Perhaps he wanted to stay in South Africa and hoped to convince Tiffany to move there with the kids. In August 2021, Tiffany and Ronald broke up, and he supposedly filed for divorce.
Ronald Dated Lauren Fraser After Tiffany Breakup
As recently as February 2023, Ronald showed off his new girlfriend, Lauren Fraser, on Instagram, and his fans praised her. Tiffany claimed that Ronald has been posting about Lauren out of spite. In a now-deleted post, Ronald confirmed, “Whatever Tiffany said about me not being real about this girl or us working things out is NOT true. Sorry, not sorry.” However, Tiffany told In Touch that she and Ronald had officially reconciled, but Ronald said he was “shocked” by @90daythemelanataedway’s post about the supposed reconciliation.
Ronald & Tiffany Reconciled Briefly In 2022
In May 2022, Ronald shared an Instagram Reel of him getting dressed and looking stylish, with the caption, “Heading out to go have a gooooood time yes yes yes.” Tiffany’s comment on it “Oh u, a gangsta now huh haha,” got a naughty reply from Ronald. He told her, “yes you must watch out because here i come.”
Ronald posted another Reel in June 2022, using a voiceover about going to a “single mom fundraiser.” In the Reel, a hand appears out of nowhere, smacking Ronald on his head, with a voice saying, “no you went to a strip club.” Tiffany commented on the post with “a true philanthropist,” indicating she was the one in the video. However, they appear to have split up once again since this 2022 reconciliation.
As of April 2023, Tiffany and Ronald do not appear to be together. Ronald’s likely still with Lauren based on his social media activity. Additionally, Tiffany split with her boyfriend, Dan MacFarland, in early 2023 and teased a new boyfriend in March. However, the identity of her new beau has yet to be revealed. Regardless, with the kind of attention Tiffany is now receiving for her marriage and weight loss, she will undoubtedly feature in a new 90 Day Fiancé spin-off soon.
