Indian Matchmaking season 2 featured Shital Patel and Niraj Mehta, and it’s time to discuss the current relationship status of these two cast members. They were still together when season 3 ended. The 38-year-old New Jersey-based Shital was looking for “The One,” and that’s when Indian Matchmaking matchmaker Sima Taparia came to her rescue. Sima, who’s believed to charge a hefty fee, however, was unable to find a, “60 to 70 percent” match for Shital. Shital met Viral Kothari and Avinash Shingwan, but nothing happened beyond the dates, until Shital met Niraj on her own through her sister.
Indian Matchmaking star Shital called Niraj, “amazing.” He was a radiation oncologist and a Gujarati doctor, and it seemed like the couple were meant to be. After all, Shital wanted to meet someone, “organically” before Sima got involved. According to Shital, she was a, “high-value woman with high standards.” She wouldn’t settle down with a man just because she was getting older, and being taunted by family members. Shital’s younger sister getting married before her made Shital feel like a disappointment. “Time’s running out,” said Shital, who planned on freezing her eggs. Shital knew she’d consider herself a, “failure” if she didn’t get married, or have a baby soon.
What Happened To Shital & Niraj In Indian Matchmaking Season 2?
Shital and Sima Aunty on Indian Matchmaking that she was looking for someone funny and smart, who was just like her brothers-in-law/ “I don’t do a magical wish with a wand,” said Sima, who wanted Shital to be flexible. In the finale, Shital shocked Sima by telling her about Niraj, and how he helped his cancer patients by dancing. “What’s special about him is his heart,” Shital noted. When Sima asked Shital whether she was, “flexible” in the relationship, Shital said that Niraj wasn’t from New York, and there was a chance of her moving to be with him in Miami. Shital thanked Sima for helping her open her heart.
Shital & Niraj Took A Big Step In Indian Matchmaking Season 3
Shital and Niraj returned to Indian Matchmaking season 3, and they were still together. Shital’s parents Pallavi and Kirit met Niraj for the first time, and accepted him graciously. Shital shared that she felt like she was at home and safe when she met Niraj. “We wanna make it fast, the wedding,” Shital’s dad announced, and Niraj said that that’s what his parents wanted as well. Shital admitted she was, “glowing” because of her loving relationship, even if it was long-distance. It did get hard after a certain point, when Niraj asked Shital to move in with him, and handed her the keys to his house.
Are Shital & Niraj Engaged Or Married After Indian Matchmaking?
Shital’s last Indian Matchmaking appearance was in episode 6, when she was seen moving in with Niraj in Miami. She confessed she was excited about waking up next to Niraj every day, as they built their life together. “I threw out the rules and it paid out for me, I mean pinch me, it’s crazy,” Shital shared. Sima exclaimed, “There will be a wedding invitation in my mailbox very soon.” Shital really wanted Niraj to be the father of her kids. Both Shital and Niraj’s Instagram accounts reveal they are an Indian Matchmaking success story (if not Sima’s), and are living together, although they haven’t tied the knot yet.
