90 Day Fiancé star Ella Johnson has lost a drastic amount of weight ever since her last TLC appearance with Chinese man Johnny Zhao. The 29-year-old Ella from Idaho Falls, Idaho met Johnny online in a group for white women and Asian men. Ella developed an “Asian obsession” thanks to her interest in anime and felt like she hit a jackpot with Johnny. The once divorced single man Johnny, 34, was all set to move to the U.S. to get married to Ella. Johnny worked for an electric car manufacturer in Shanghai and had to quit his job or risk contracting COVID-19 if he flew to meet Ella.
90 Day Fiancé’s Ella Johnson recently updated fans with a new Instagram post. “Been so crazy busy with stuff haven’t posted too much,” Ella wrote in the caption of her recent set of photos, the cover image showing a selfie of her in black and white.
However, the second picture showed how Ella looks now, since losing over 25 pounds of weight. Dressed in mid-rise dark blue jeans and a red t-shirt, Ella stood in front of a mirror to take a picture showing her slim figure. “Here are some pictures for ya been working hard here at the ranch fulltime,” to suggest her new body was the result of doing farm work.
Did Ella & Johnny Ever Meet On 90 Day Fiancé?
Johnny seemed serious about wanting to meet Ella on 90 Day Fiancé but suddenly began making a new excuse after another to delay the trip. Johnny’s excuses were also valid. He was worried about what would happen to his family and child Stoney if he had to fall sick. Johnny was the sole provider of his family consisting of elderly parents and son. But Ella didn’t want to wait any longer for Johnny. She came up with a plan to meet Johnny where they could quarantine together before coming to the U.S. and gave him an ultimatum that she’d start seeing other men if Johnny didn’t comply.
Johnny didn’t agree with Ella’s demands. He wanted theirs to be a monogamous relationship, yet Ella cheated on Johnny with a friend. Johnny still wanted to be with Ella and even asked for her ring size. The couple was still going strong after the Tell-All. Ella and Johnny appeared in 90 Day Diaries to reveal Johnny has planned to meet her in February 2022, but he postponed the trip again due to his job. Johnny wanted to resign which could have increased his chances of making it to Ella, but she was tired of waiting and decided she was done. In September 2022, Ella decided she and Johnny were not “currently” together.
The same video on Instagram was used by Ella to talk about her weight loss. Johnny still wants to go to the U.S. and Ella supports his decision. Ella admits she still cares about Johnny, and they are still on good terms even after their 90 Day Fiancé relationship has ended. In March 2023, Ella confirmed that Johnny and she had not met yet. But if Johnny does somehow travel to Idaho, will Ella be ready to date and marry him?
