As services like Netflix and Hulu grow in popularity, more and more people are starting to get rid of their cable boxes and switch exclusively to streaming. This is a great way to save money, but they can’t always meet needs when it comes to popular live events, such as sports and new series. Peacock is one streaming service that allows viewers to catch things like the Super Bowl and the latest TV series. With a variety of live shows, early-release episodes, favorite complete series, and even some highly anticipated Peacock originals, Peacock is a must-have for exclusive streamers.
In addition to Peacock offering live content, the streamer adds new shows to its lineup on a monthly basis. The best new TV series might change, but May 2023 offers a variety of reality TV, dramas, and comedy series. The new offerings for the month are a combination of Peacock original streaming content and Peacock branded content that airs on network television. Peacock has many new shows from NBC, Bravo, and Hallmark available right after they air on television.
7 Bupkis (2023)

Available to stream on May 4
Veteran sketch comic Pete Davidson developed Bupkis, inspired by the events of his own life, and stars in the series as well. The series will see Edie Falco as his mother and Joe Pesci as his grandfather. It also marks Pesci’s first time as a series regular in over 30 years, so it’s become a highly anticipated new tv series for Peacock this month.
6 Transplant Seasons 1 & 2 (2020- )
-
Available to stream on May 8
There have been a lot of medical dramas on television in the last 40 years, but Transplant is something new. Premiering in 2020, the series follows a Syrian refugee (Hazma Haq) who finds safety in Canada, but struggles to adapt to the new country. Though he’s an accomplished doctor in his home, he has to undergo medical training all over again to be accredited in the new country. In the past, new episodes from NBC have been made available on Peacock, but now, the first two seasons will be available to stream in their entirety as the third is currently airing on television.

Like Rainn Wilson, John Leguizamo is an accomplished actor, but he’s also adding hosting duties of a docuseries to his resume. His series is very different from Wilson’s, but just as interesting of a watch. Throughout the series, the performer visits different Latino communities around America. The travel show is actually produced for MSNBC, so new episodes are added to Peacock after they air.

New episodes are available the day after they air on the streamer. The only confirmed new episode of Saturday Night Live for May airs on May 6. Pete Davidson returns to the show since leaving as a cast member and will host. It will be Davidson’s first time hosting the series. The musical guest is set to be Lil Uzi Vert.

Peacock is also home to one of the best crime procedural TV franchises. It’s the streaming home for the Law & Order series. From the original to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to the new Organized Crime spinoff series, they can all be found on Peacock. While there are dozens of classic episodes for fans, there are also going to be new episodes in May. As new episodes air on NBC of SVU and Organized Crime, they’ll be available to watch the next day on Peacock, so fans can spend even more time with Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni).

Mrs. Davis was one of the most anticipated original additions to Peacock in April. The new TV series features Betty Gilpin (Glow) as a nun on a unique mission. Gilpin’s Simone is out to destroy the titular Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Davis isn’t a person though. Instead, Mrs. Davis is an artificial intelligence that Simone believes needs to be stopped. It’s a sci-fi comedy that sets faith against technology in a new way. New episodes of the new Peacock series continue to stream throughout May.
