1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton Halterman no longer needs her soon-to-be ex-husband’s compliments as the star recently started finding attention elsewhere. The mother of two has been working on her look for some time now, and with a new lease on life, Amy is making some big changes. Since 1000-lb Sisters season 1, Amy has done her best to live a healthier lifestyle, and it looks like it may be finally paying off.
From day one, Amy has been motivated to lose all her excess weight in order to be able to start having children. During 1000-lb Sisters season 1, Amy qualified for the life-saving gastric bypass surgery that afforded her the ability to start living a more normal life. When Amy was introduced, she and her sister, Tammy Slaton, were severely overweight. Amy hadn’t been taking care of herself, and her lack of accountability showed. Now with her transformation underway, Amy is once again ready to turn some heads.
Amy Slaton’s New Hairstyle
The mother of two recently stepped out with a bright new purple hair color. Before this hair color change, Amy had faded cherry red hair that needed upkeep, but the violet color has done her justice. The hair change came shortly after news broke that she and Michael Halterman would be divorcing. Along with her new hairstyle choice, it also looked like Amy might be sporting some gold teeth in a recent TikTok video. However, it looks like she may just have been using a filter to sing along to in the car.
Amy Slaton Continues To Lose Weight
Once weighing in at 406 pounds, Amy has lost a large amount of weight since her transformation first began. At the end of 1000-lb Sisters season 3, Amy weight in at 275 pounds, and she continues to work towards her goal of 150 pounds. Even though she has had a few setbacks, like her two pregnancies, Amy is doing her best to stay fit and active for her two young sons. Now that Amy is single, it’s fair to assume that she may want to try and catch a possible suitor’s eye in the future.
1000-lb Sisters‘ Michael and Amy had been separated since February, with the father of two filing for divorce in March. The newest season showed how irritated Amy would be with her husband as he was often caught by TLC cameras lounging around and not lending a helping hand. One scene showed Michael stuffing his face at a family BBQ while Amy tried to calm her crying children. Now, with a new outlook on life, Amy may finally be able to find someone worthy of her and her new purple hair.
