Every month brings new games to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, and in May 2023 there are several launch day titles joining the library immediately upon release for users to get in on all the action. Game Pass has been doing well recently at bringing quality games on day one, which adds a lot of value to the program. May’s additions are all focused on new releases, including the heavily anticipated, yet troubled, Xbox exclusive Redfall.
In the lifecycle of the Game Pass service, some games are removed from the library each month to make room for new ones. The official list for what is leaving in May has not been announced yet other than that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be pulled on April 30, 2023, yet many online are predicting that SnowRunner and Maneater will be leaving during May as they have both been on Game Pass for two years this month. Meanwhile, six new release games are confirmed to be added throughout May 2023.
Every New Xbox Game Pass Title For May 2023
Each of the titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2023 is going to be added on the date of their release. Both the dark fairytale game of Ravenlok and Bethesda’s vampire game Redfall are Xbox exclusives. Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest survival horror game in the Amnesia series and fans will find it is shaking things up with its approach this time. Turn-based RPG Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, the open-world sci-fi Farworld Pioneers, and the train simulation game Railway Empire 2 round out the rest of the month by offering a little taste of everything for gamers to enjoy.

May 2023 Xbox Game Pass Titles Includes The Exclusive Redfall
Xbox Game Pass’s big title for May 2023 is the new open-world FPS vampire game Redfall which is unfortunately already seeing troubles despite a day one Game Pass launch. Besides issues with its mechanics for hosting online co-op multiplayer and other features, the game is also struggling to provide the frame rates advertised and will have to add a performance update post-launch. Despite these hurdles, the game has many novel ideas and qualities that could help it to overcome the release day bumps if it successfully builds on the potential it has shown.
As was the case in the last couple of months, the quality of the titles being added and the variety of genres included for Xbox Game Pass in May 2023 is a good mix to provide a little something for everyone. Whether looking for an entrepreneurial simulation game building a railway empire, or wanting to shoot vampires with friends, this month is providing a lot of good content for subscribers. Of course, more games could be added during the month as well, but these six are the confirmed additions to Xbox Game Pass‘s subscription gaming service in May 2023.
