Stunning The Last of Us fan art sees Bella Ramsey’s live-action version of Ellie meet her video game counterpart. The Last of Us TV series has been praised by fans and critics alike for its faithfulness to the 2013 video game and for changing some elements to better fit its episodic television format. Season 1 adapted the first game while season 2 is poised to begin adapting The Last of Us Part II.
Now, artist ROY THE ART has posted The Last of Us fan art of Ramsey’s live-action version of Ellie coming face-to-face with the video game version of herself from The Last of Us Part II.
The stunning art sees the two characters facing one another, with additional images showing close-ups of their faces. The art feels like it is teasing The Last of Us season 2’s story details, with TV Ellie looking into her future.
What To Expect From The Last Of Us Season 2
Because of how faithful The Last of Us season 1 was to the first game, season 2 is poised to see Ellie have a similar look to her video game counterpart. This includes a moth tattoo on her arm, as well as a bow and arrow as one of her new weapons. Ellie is also likely to have the same storyline in The Last of Us season 2 as she does in the Part II game.
For now, it appears The Last of Us season 2 will remain faithful to the games, meaning Ellie is likely to get more of a spotlight moving forward. Season 1 saw plenty of development for the character, including a full episode adapting The Last of Us: Left Behind, a story about Ellie before she met Joel. However, season 2 will see a larger focus on Ellie when her life as Joel’s surrogate daughter properly begins.
If The Last of Us season 2 maintains faithfulness to the games, then it’s likely Ramsey will be sporting Ellie’s signature tattoo at some point in the season. Season 2 will also introduce many new characters from The Last of Us Part II, both friends and enemies alike. With plenty for fans of the game to look forward to, the future of The Last of Us‘ TV adaptation is sure to see Ellie’s coming of age tale play out.
