Living life in front of the camera isn’t easy, but Amanda Halterman considers the 1000-lb Sisters camera crew family. Frequently filming throughout the seasons can take a toll on everyone involved, but the reality star admits that having a supportive crew makes all the difference. Now that 1000-lb Sisters wrapped up its fourth season, the Slaton family has spent a lot of time with the people who make it all happen behind the scenes.
Amanda made her first appearance during 1000-lb Sisters season 3, and captured viewers’ hearts with her sense of humor and blunt personality, not fearing to speak her mind in any situation. Her sister Tammy Slaton had become notorious for her quick temper and mean comments, but Amanda proved she wasn’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with her little sister. Amanda has become a fan-favorite ever since, and she’s admired for her fierce loyalty and love for her family. Her personal life has now become part of the show, and she says learning to be comfortable in front of the camera is because of the excellent crew that’s behind it.
Amanda Halterman Loves The 1000-Lb Sisters Camera Crew
Amanda took to TikTok to give her followers the scoop on sharing her life on 1000-lb Sisters. She received a question that she didn’t hesitate to answer regarding what it’s like to film certain situations, and how difficult conversations are handled when the camera crew is around. Amanda praised the camera crew for the respect and love they show for her and her family and said, “Thankfully, our crew is an excellent crew, and they are very close to us like family, they are good people.” She went on to explain that they respect the family’s boundaries and step away when they have moments they don’t want to be on camera.
The Slaton Siblings Look Out For Each Other On 1000-Lb Sisters
Aside from the camera crew giving the Slaton family their space when needed, Amanda shared that the siblings also look out for one another in front of the cameras. Life doesn’t stop, even in the middle of filming, and sometimes unexpected things happen, but the siblings always have each other’s back. Amanda spoke about her family’s experience on 1000-lb Sisters when facing difficult moments and said, “As a family, we have set boundaries, and I will never allow anyone to make my siblings or anyone in my family feel some type of way. We also, as a family, remind one another that we’re mic’d, and the cameras are rolling.”
For the Slaton family, having a sense of protection and respect while filming has made the reality of sharing their lives a lot easier to handle. They are able to share their story but still have privacy when needed, and that has made all the difference, especially in difficult and unexpected moments. At the end of the day, Amanda and her family are thankful for the camera crew they work with as they navigate living life in front of the cameras on 1000-lb Sisters.
