Producer and talk show host Andy Cohen revealed that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice confronted him after he insinuated that she planned to exit the reality show. Fellow Bravo series Vanderpump Rules has been taking up most of the attention when it comes to reality show scandals right now. But RHONJ has featured more than enough drama to keep making headlines every week.
The Watch What Happens Live host opened up recently about a confrontation that occurred behind-the-scenes regarding comments he made about Teresa’s future after RHONJ season 13. As Andy explained on his Radio Andy SiriusXM show, “Teresa said, ‘I need to talk to you about some things that are in the book,’” referring to his just-released book, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up.
The two ended up speaking backstage while she was a guest on WWHL. He continued, “She’s like, ‘You know, I didn’t quit the show at the last reunion,’ and I go, ‘That’s not what I said.'”
Teresa Giudice Reveals She’s “Not Leaving” RHONJ
Andy admitted that he might have told Teresa at the RHONJ season 13 reunion, “Maybe you should step away. What do you think?” Teresa texted the host following the reunion and claimed, “I’m not leaving the show, and I never want to leave the show.” It appears there was a miscommunication over what he meant by his comments. It’s not surprising that things got a little heated towards the two of them, especially since Andy has teased that he got very upset with Teresa over her alleged behavior while filming the reunion. Apparently, she and Melissa Gorga go at it in a way he’s never seen before.
The drama surrounding RHONJ keeps ratcheting up with each new revelation and episode. Most of it pertains to the intense feud between Teresa and Melissa, her brother Joe Gorga’s wife. A big storyline that’s been playing out in RHONJ season 13 is that Melissa and Joe refused to attend Teresa and her now-husband Luis Ruelas’ wedding, which took place August 6, 2022, in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The Gorgas’ absence continued to fuel the bad blood between the family members.
Teresa and Luis will star in a special called Teresa Gets Married that will put all the focus on the momentous occasion. Just because it’s supposed to be a happy day doesn’t mean it won’t come without controversy, though. A recently-released trailer for the special teased all the drama that’s expected to play out, including Melissa and Joe’s absence. The RHONJ season 13 reunion will begin airing a week after the wedding event. However, it’s unclear when RHONJ season 14 will air or even when it will film after reports indicate the Bravo show has been put on hold, with Teresa and Melissa’s feud being the reason for the hiatus.
