Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix doesn’t believe reports that Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval already broke up two months after their Scandoval affair was exposed. The split news broke only a few hours before the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale aired on Wednesday, May 17. This came after Sandoval set off rumors that there was trouble in paradise by singing, “Raquel is not for me.”
During the post-finale episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked about the reports that Raquel and Sandoval split up. Ariana laughed and remarked, “I don’t buy that at all.”
Explaining why she was skeptical, the actress revealed, “[Raquel] was sending letters to my house, like, four days ago.” The letters were addressed to Sandoval, but she saw them because they’re still living together. Ariana insisted she didn’t read her ex’s mail because it’s a felony. “I just brought in the mail, saw it, put it on the table and walked away,” the 37-year-old said, adding, “It was in her handwriting.” When Andy asked if the letters were sent from Raquel’s treatment facility, Ariana said she didn’t know.
VPR’s Ariana Reveals If She’ll Ever Forgive Sandoval & Raquel
Ariana may not buy that Sandoval and Raquel are done, but throughout her WWHL appearance, she didn’t seem optimistic about their future either. She shaded the claims they are in love, commenting, “I don’t really know that either of them knows what that word means.” After Ariana confirmed that Sandoval cheated with “Miami Girl” early in their nine-year relationship, she also predicted the cover band singer would cheat again. As for her own future, Ariana made it clear she wants to sell the house she and Sandoval bought together. Finally, when Andy asked, “What would it take for you to forgive Tom or Raquel?” Ariana bluntly answered, “That’s not happening.”
It’s entirely possible Sandoval and Raquel really did break up. Nearly everyone was against them, even Tom Schwartz, who labeled the romance “toxic.” Raquel has reportedly been in a mental health facility for weeks. But the timing of the news was awfully convenient. The initial story included the phrase “dipped out,” which cheekily referenced Sandoval’s odd remarks about Raquel sleeping over when Ariana was out of town. Adding to the confusion, Raquel and Sandoval have been cagey about their relationship status since the Scandoval news first broke.
On WWHL, Ariana repeatedly slammed Raquel and Sandoval for their constant lies and history of creating false narratives to make themselves look better. She also called out Sandoval’s need for attention, good or bad. While Ariana didn’t give an official interview about Scandoval until Wednesday, her ex repeatedly spoke to TMZ and had a long, disastrous sit-down with Howie Mandel. Raquel also spoke to paparazzi ahead of taping the reunion, and made headlines for filing a temporary restraining order against Scheana Shay. Because of their strange actions over the past two months, it’s entirely reasonable for Ariana to question this latest news.
It remains to be seen if Sandoval or Raquel will return for Vanderpump Rules season 11. Ariana has already refused to film with either of them. She did get a chance to confront both of them at the reunion, which begins airing May 24.
Vanderpump Rules airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
