Big Brother season 19’s Cody Nickson denied rumors that he will be returning to the hit competition show. Cody competed inside the famous house in 2017. During his time on Big Brother, he met and fell in love with his now-wife Jessica Graf. Despite being hated by the rest of the house, the Big Brother showmance went on to get married and have three kids together.
With Big Brother 25 right around the corner, there have been rumors that it will include returning houseguests in one way or another. Cody’s name has repeatedly been thrown around in these rumors as a past player that’s reportedly been asked back for the new season. In one of his daily Instagram Q&As, Cody shut down these rumors of a potential return to Big Brother.
A fan asked if the claims were true that he and/or Jessica were returning to Big Brother. In his response, Cody openly admitted that the couple would end up being hurt financially if they left their kids to compete, explaining, “We would actually lose money.“
Big Brother’s Cody & Jessica Can’t Afford To Leave Kids For Three Months
Last July, Cody and Jessica welcomed their third daughter into the world. Having three kids under the age of 3 isn’t easy. Therefore, if both Cody and Jessica wanted to return to the Big Brother game, they would have to find three months of childcare for their children, which is not cheap. They would ultimately be losing money unless CBS agreed to pay them a large sum of money for their return. Cody joked, “Yea we’re going to give the kids a credit card and an Uber Eats account, tell them we’ll be back in three months.”
Cody and Jessica are just two of the many names that have been floating around as potential returnees for the upcoming season. Other past Big Brother players rumored to return this summer include season 20’s Haleigh Broucher, season 23’s Kyland Young, and season 24’s Jasmine Davis and Michael Bruner, as well as the most recent winner of the game, Taylor Hale. Players that competed against Cody and Jessica who have also allegedly been asked to return include Alex Ow and Jason Dent. It has yet to be confirmed if Big Brother 25 will in fact include returning players; however, production has been casting brand-new players as well.
Although it would be fun to see both Cody and Jessica give the Big Brother game a second chance, it is understandable why the couple would have to turn down the offer. While Cody confirmed that both he and his wife will not be rejoining the show, he did not specify whether or not they were in fact offered the opportunity to return. Big Brother season 25 is set to premiere sometime this summer.
