Jennifer Lopez is getting real about the toll her high profile career has had on her family.
The Mother star recently reflected on how 15-year-old kids Max and Emme have dealt with spending their lives in the spotlight.
“I think being the child of famous parents is not something many people can understand,” Jennifer—who shares the twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony‚explained in an interview with Audacy on May 12, “and I feel for [my kids] for that because they didn’t choose that.”
“They have just started letting me know how people treat them—so when they walk into the room, that’s what people are thinking about,” the 53-year-old added. “They’re not seeing them for who they are. And I think that has to be a really hard thing for them. So, I would love to be able to protect them from that.”
Acknowledging the larger issue with bullying, Jennifer noted that there’s an added layer for kids with famous parents.
