Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss’ “hacked” Instagram account is now being controlled by her team as she continues to seek care within a mental health facility. When Raquel’s affair with Tom Sandoval was discovered, vast amounts of vitriol poured in, causing Raquel anguish along with a need for a safe place to heal. However, Raquel’s mental health treatment claims was called out, as actual facilities do not allow patients usage of their cell phones. On this note, Raquel’s Instagram account updated during the first week of her care, showing an added highlight reel of Sandoval dressed in her own image for Halloween.
As for Raquel’s aforementioned Instagram update, her team now states, “This account was hacked.” Raquel’s team spoke to the masses through Raquel’s Instagram Stories, which @byewighellodrama re-posted, showing a statement which read, “With the help of Instagram it has been reset and is now managed by Raquel’s team for the next month while she continues treatment.”
As for what Raquel’s Instagram will now become while her care continues on, her team explained, “MAY is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS month. Raquel has requested all of the posts focus on raising awareness for mental health organizations, advocates and removing the stigma surrounding treatment.”
Ariana Madix’s Mental Health Journey Used By Tom To Justify VPR Affair
Before cheating, Sandoval was in a nine-year-long relationship with Ariana Madix. Ariana has also been vocal on mental health, speaking out on her journey of disordered eating and depression. As Vanderpump Rules season 10 plays out, the narrative for Tom leaving Ariana to date Raquel is starting to emerge, as he was seen complaining to Tom Schwartz about Ariana’s checked-out state. As trailers appear for future episodes, Sandoval could also be seen discussing why he had to cheat, using the excuse of being unable to break up with Ariana due to her mental health, as she was dealing with the loss of her grandmother and a pet during his affair.
While Sandoval is currently keeping the details of Raquel‘s current mental state and care private, the same could not be said for his dealings with his now-ex Ariana. Instead, he used Ariana’s mental health against her in front of thousands of viewers to justify his deception. Sandoval also spoke to Howie Mandel, revealing private allegations of Ariana’s mental state. While it is possible that the backlash he received from this interview has brought about clarity, allowing him to not disclose any of the details surrounding Raquel’s current state or care, it is more likely that he is only remaining quiet about her health to save himself from further heated reactions.
Separating herself from Sandoval’s antics post-affair, Raquel has gone the opposite route, remaining mostly silent, issuing only a statement before checking herself in to receive the previously stated mental health care, right after filming the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion. Mental health is an incredibly important topic, and it deserves a seat at the table in times like these. Despite the heat Raquel is facing, her mental health is of upmost importance. Hopefully, she can work through her actions while receiving the needed tools to not make the same mistakes in the future. As for her reality television career, Raquel’s return for Vanderpump Rules season 11 is currently unknown.
