New fan art for The Boys season 4 shows off Jeffrey Dean Morgan in costume and ready for a fight. Morgan is a prominent actor, best known for his appearances in Watchmen, The Walking Dead, and Supernatural. After the announcement that he is gearing up to take part in the next season of The Boys, speculation has been rampant about just who Morgan will be playing. The Boys‘ producers have been tight-lipped.
A fan-made magazine cover by Vought.art on Instagram shows off one potential character that Morgan might find himself playing in The Boys season 4. Check it out below:
The art shows Morgan dressed in the suit of a mechanized supe, known as Tek Knight, standing proudly against a “Maxim” magazine cover. The cover also hints at the arrival of an asteroid, which hints at an important Tek Knight plot from The Boys‘ comics, wherein Tek Knight stopped a massive meteor from striking the Earth.
Who Is Tek Knight In The Boys?
Not every supe necessarily needs to have superpowers. While most of the characters in The Boys have taken a dose of Compound V at one point or another, Tek Knight (AKA: Robert Vernon) manages to mimic the supes without having anything to do with the compound. By using technology to keep himself in the fight, Tek Knight serves as a typical “hero” with relative ease.
Inspired by Iron Man and Batman, Tek Knight often manages to hold his own against the greatest of the world’s heroes and villains. His suit is capable of flight, shooting lasers, and blasting with a weaponized EMP device that can take out all technology around him. Of course, because he needs his suit to protect himself, Tek Knight is powerless without his technology. That could be a problem for him in The Boys, if he ever earns Homelander’s ire.
In the comics, Tek Knight is a member of the Payback team, which could hint at how Soldier Boy will return in The Boys season 4. While the Boys may have been disappointed by Soldier Boy, they may at least try to trust the non-powered Tek Knight. Whether that ends well for them will have to be seen, especially if it’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan under the mask.
