Meri Brown of Sister Wives has taken to social media to share her secrets, including why she feels worthy of love. The first wife of Kody Brown has been a doormat for years, especially after the patriarch decided he was no longer in love with her. Now, Meri is trying to branch out and show she has thoughts of her own.
Meri has lived in the shadows of her polygamous relationship for ten years. Even though she was the first legal wife of Kody, she was never treated well. The father of 18 often overlooked Meri’s needs and chose to embrace his other three marriages, especially to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown. Meri tried to befriend Kody’s favorite wife in hopes she would fall back into his good graces, but sadly, even that move didn’t help her win her husband’s trust back. Meri began to lose support after she had an emotional affair in Las Vegas but chose to still stay with Kody.
Meri Brown Uplifts Herself
The Sister Wives star took to her Instagram, sharing an overly filtered selfie of herself with an uplifting message. In her best attempt, Meri tried to convince herself and her followers that she knew the “secret” to becoming worthy. In her post, Meri said many cliché sayings, such as if “You want something different, you have to do something different.” Meri often talks about bettering herself and updating the current version of who she is.
Sister Wives Fans React To Meri’s Messages
Sister Wives followers are not impressed with Meri’s try-hard posts and often feel she’s not qualified to give self-improvement advice. One follower wrote, “Let me tell u a secret.. U owe Christine an apology!” noting that Christine Brown being brave enough to leave the family is the only reason Meri has been able to see her worth. Another follower commented how ironic the post was with Meri trying to convince everyone that she was at the “top of her game.” One fan simply wrote that Meri was never this “nice” while on Sister Wives.
Kody and Meri announced their separation in December 2022 after the Sister Wives patriarch revealed that he no longer was attracted to his wife or felt married to her. At the time, Meri felt blindsided by the news but later agreed to separate from her husband. Recently, Meri put her Arizona home on the market for rent and decided to move back to Utah to be closer to those who support her.
