My first thought when I got this email from Pottery Barn was “really? Deepika?” And then I clicked the link and went “oh yeah, this is very Deepika”. She’s very calm, right? Very beige (in a good way!)
My guess is, Pottery Barn had already decided to do Indian style embroidery and patterns on their new bedroom set. And then they got their ad company to give them a shortlist of Indian celebrities and Deepika was a good fit.
But, I also believe everything she is saying! Except perhaps for “I’ve always loved Pottery Barn”. But sure, she probably does like peaceful neutral colors in her bedroom and stuff. And it’s a very nice photo shoot.
