Kali Uchis has shared her new album Orquídeas, her fourth studio album overall and her second sung entirely in Spanish.
Orquídeas includes the previously released singles “Muñekita” featuring El Alfa and City Girls’ JT, “Te Mata,” and “Labios Mordidos” featuring Karol G. Other collaborators on the 14-track album include Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, and her real-life partner Don Toliver.
Orquídeas translates to “orchid,” and Uchis explained the significance of the album’s botanical title in a statement: “The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth,” she said. “I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful, and sensual allure of the orchid. With this vast scope of fresh energy, I wish to re-define the way we look at Latinas in music.”

Orquídeas arrives less than a year after her last LP, Red Moon in Venus.
